OPENING OF THE ARCH OF SPRING

A PUBLIC ARTWORK COLLABORATION BETWEEN ISPT AND RMIT (SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE & URBAN DESIGN, SCHOOL OF ART, SCHOOL OF DESIGN)

The project will be opened by RMIT Architecture Senior Lecturer Jan van Schaik, and the designer of the winning scheme RMIT student Dyann Fang.

DATE: Thursday 2 November
TIME: 12.30pm (AEST)
LOCATION: Madame Brussels Lane Square, Melbourne CBD

In this collaboration RMIT brings the collective creative energy of its many disciplines, and the experience of an applied design research team to work with ISPT as it develops meaningful places where people can come together to connect and collaborate — transforming buildings and activating spaces, bringing them to life.

The project is the first in a series of collaborations between RMIT University and ISPT. The Design Research Team was lead by Jan van Schaik (School of Architecture & Urban Design), and included Fiona Hilary (School of Art) and Oliver Vodeb (School of Design). The students, who participated competitively, were Dyann Fang (winning scheme), Nathan Savankham, Blake Hillebrand, Emma Clyde, Georgia McCole, Girivarshan Balasubramanian, Feng Huang, Irene Li, and Jessie He.
